Louisville, Ky (May 14, 2025) – U.S. Senate candidate Daniel Cameron is facing similar lawfare attacks to those that Donald Trump faced in his campaign for President. Daniel today received a bogus charge of violating state ethics law from the Democrat-controlled Executive Branch Ethics Commission.
The Commission’s leadership, which is entirely run by Andy Beshear appointees, has decided to dredge up a charge on Daniel based on a nearly two-year-old claim made by liberal union bosses during Daniel’s campaign for Governor.
It’s all very convenient to be coming at a time where Daniel is leading by well over 20 percentage points in his race for U.S. Senate.
Watch Daniel’s reaction here to this clear act of liberal lawfare.
Today I was hit with a bogus charge by the governor’s ethics commission. This is pure political persecution.

I’m going to fight this just like I’ll continue fighting for the great people of this Commonwealth. Every single day. pic.twitter.com/hioE13O0D9
“This is the definition of political persecution,” said Cameron. “It’s the exact same thing they tried to do to President Trump. But like President Trump, I won’t let the left beat me.”
“I’ve never ran away from tough fights. Not when angry mobs protested on my front lawn. And certainly not when the left tried to strip away your constitutional rights,” Cameron continued. “I’m going to fight this just like I’ll continue fighting for the great people of this Commonwealth. Every single day.”

Kentucky Democrats are taking a page out of the Joe Biden playbook and using government to attack and punish their political opponents. But just like the attacks on President Trump, this democrat lawfare won’t work. Daniel is the clear Republican front-runner to be Kentucky’s next U.S. Senator. Recent public polling shows him leading the field decisively.
This kangaroo court can throw all the punches it wants. Daniel will fight these bogus charges, and he will win. He’s fought for Kentucky as Attorney General, and he’ll fight just as hard in Washington to shake up the system, defend our values, and deliver results for Kentucky in the U.S. Senate.
