ADVISORY: Cameron to Release “The Cameron Catch-Up Plan”

August 14, 2023

Proposal addresses the historic learning loss under Beshear’s leadership

Louisville, Ky. (August 14, 2023) – Daniel Cameron, Attorney General and Republican Candidate for Kentucky Governor, will hold press conferences on Tuesday, August 15, to announce his plan to address the historic learning loss that has occurred under the Beshear administration.

According to the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) and the Kentucky Department of Education, fewer than half of Kentucky students are proficient in math or can read on grade level. Only 29% are proficient in science.

The proposal is the second major policy initiative unveiled by the Cameron campaign. Last month, Attorney General Cameron released the Cameron Public Safety Plan to reduce crime and support law enforcement.

Members of the press are encouraged to RSVP by emailing [email protected] or [email protected]. There will be an opportunity for members of the media attending in person to ask questions.

As a courtesy, the Cameron Campaign is providing a livestream of the 11:30 AM Louisville event to press. Press can register for the livestream here.
